Project Life Week 8

Hello everyone !!

I'm back with you all today. Hooray !

Week 8 has been finished for a while now. I have been super busy lately and am now just getting around to sharing.

Here is a look at both pages.

A closer look at the left side.

This particular week was jammed packed with "stuff". So I decided to use a photo as my title card. I turned the photo black and white because it didn't come out so well from my iphone.

I used the week brush from Ali Edwards and you can find it here. Love these. I also added the wood veneer car. Love those little cars from Studio Calico.

I loved this card that has the circles on the side. I believe it is from the BH Mayfield Mini Kit. The circles were fun to embellish.

As I mentioned above, week 8 was really busy. I planned, started, and finished my chevron wall in my small laundry room. It turned out great and I love it !!

Here is a closer look at my journaling card and another photo talking about my chevron wall. I watched lots of online tutorials, make a sketch on paper, and then got started. The photo is the sketch I used as a visual guide when I was taping and painting my wall.

The hello now arrow is part of a PDF freebie courtesy of Studio Calico. You can find it here. I changed the color to match my color scheme for the week and also added the word hello to the top. I believe that one is from Ali Edwards from my stash.

This next photo was taken of Katelyn making some homemade clay/play dough. She researched how to make it on her own and mixed up a batch to play with.

I started off with using an overlay. This particular one is a 5x7 that I cut down. It is part of package from Teresa Collins that I picked up at a scrapbook store in UT. They are brand new and I want them all !!

Here is a look at some journaling cards.

The second page. Lots of Frozen and Birthday stuff.

Noah and Patrick building grow boxes.

Katelyn wanted a Frozen cake this year.

Make a wish.

Elsa.

Journaling cards.

That's the rest of Week 8.

Thanks for coming. I really am enjoying putting my 2014 Project Life album together. How's your album coming along ?

Valentine's Day Photo Shoot Layout

Hello everyone !

How is everyone today ?  Are you all ready for National Scrapbook Day this weekend ? May 3 for those of you who do not know.

I plan on doing at least a little scrapbooking, around my housework, yard work, Tball, ect.

Today I want to share a layout with you all about my Valentine's Day photo shoot. This year was really casual, very low key, and full of lots of red and pink.

Here is a look at both sides. I really need to work on my photography skills when it come to layouts lately. I am struggling, and needing to find a good spot in the new house to photograph them. Oh well.

Prior to this photo shoot I had gathered a few props and bought all the kids new outfits. I chose to take them out the railroad tracks for a fun back drop and they loved it !

The first page close up.

The title card. I started out with the full red title card that comes in the Jade Core Kit. I wasn't quite working out for me so I cut it way down and added some photos and embellishments. The old sewing machine came out of the closet as well. I also planned on adding some heart rubons on the bottom, but as you can see them did not want to come off !! Those darn hearts were determined to not come off, so I just left it like that and moved on. As my girls say "Let it Go "!!

Journaling cards. The word "you" is a brush that you can find here. The card and embellishments are from a SC kit.

Some of the photos.

I started out with a 4x6 sheet of vellum to go over the top of this photo of Maddie. I cut a 3 inch hole to show her face in the circle, like a frame. To finish it off I added some hearts and the word MINE.

Brush from I heart stories brush.

The second page.

More photos.

When I was at the scrapbook store I picked up some Teressa Collins overlays and used some on them on this page. The one of Katelyn by herself has a simple flourish that's hard to see in the photo.

For this one I added some text to the photo and then added the word on the photo.

I used another overlay for this photo. I also added the small stamped words on the bottom.

Used my sewing machine again. Also some embellishments from the SC kit. Used this brush on the photo.

That is all for my V day layout. Thanks for looking.

Have a great rest of the week everyone !!
