Week In The Life 2017 | Tuesday

Hey everyone !

Today I am going to sharing my Tuesday in my Week In The Life album. I am slowly making progress in my album and I am okay with that.

I am going to follow a loose pattern with my album. Each day is going to begin with a big 6x8 photo. Tuesdays photo I chose to go with this rainy photo I took. It had rained most of the day and so I thought it was fitting.

Along with a large photo I am going to add these digital days of the week brushes from Ali Edwards. I also added one of the chipboard squares to the photo.

Here is what the first spread of Tuesday. A big photo and then the Tuesday tab divider. Then you can see underneath the divider is a photo and a filler card.

This is my filler card that I made using that awesome Tuesday piece from Color Cast Designs. When I ordered my main kit I also ordered these days of the week transparencies. I cut it in half and then embellished the rest of the card.

This photo is from the morning. My parents were in town for a visit and my dad took the kids to school. I snapped a photo of them getting out the door.

Here is a look at the next spread. These pages tell the story our afternoon and going to run errands  and go to Barnes and Nobles.

This photo was the best that I could get out of the kids. I went with it and added the wooden Tuesday onto the photo.

I ended up not having room for my journaling and a 4x6 photo. So I cropped the photo of Katelyn in the car and added it next to a journaling card.

On the other side I added a few more photos from the afternoon. The photo on the right is of Katelyn looking at books at the book store. I added some embellishing to the bottom of the photo. Next to it I added a photo of Noah getting the mail. It is very common for us to stop and for him to get the mail on our way home. He always asks.

Here is a look at the next spread. This one includes more photos from the afternoon and evening.

Patrick had to drive down to Los Angelos area for work and on the way back it was super foggy in the canyon. He stopped and sent me this photo. I added in this journaling card to tell the story of his work day.

On the bottom row I added a photo of me at the computer and then of me having a little Easter snack time. Reese's are my favorite.

This photo is of Katelyn turning the radio to her favorite station. She does this every time she gets in the car. I added a little journaling to my photo and added the #2. The pre programed station #2 is her favorite.

Above the 4x6 photo I have some journaling and a photo of the Del Taco drive thru. Turns out that Patrick was going to be gone late and we happened to be out running late. Del Taco it is.

One last set of pages for Tuesday.

The left side holds 2 photos and a journaling card.

I added a digital brush to my photo and a pink star.

That night after we went to get tacos we stopped and picked up the movie Sing.

The last page is a large journaling page. I added some misc. Tuesdays and made them different colors. Then I layered the clear white Tuesday on top.

That it is for me today. I have some other projects that I need to work on then I will get back to my Wednesday of my WITL. Thanks for coming.

Week In The Life 2017

Hello, hello everyone !

I am back today for a quick blog update for you. Last week I participated in Week In The Life. If your are not familiar with the concept here is a quick run down. You photograph your entire week and make a separate album for it. It was started by Ali Edwards and I have participated 3 or 4 times over the years.

Today I going to be sharing my Monday pages with you. On Monday my parents were in town visiting and we took them out for a hike. I have a 6x8 photo of us hiking as my starting page. The plan is to use a 6x8 photo for the beginning of every day. I am going to add the day of the week digital brush set from Ali Edwards to each days photo. Next to my big photo I have this Monday divider.

I purchase the main kit from Ali Edwards and these big large white letters came in the kit. I added an M to the divider and adhered it with red lined tape. I wanted to use the M as a see thru element so I placed it underneath the digital brush that is on the photo. So that way when you flip the divider over you will see the M underneath.

The next page looks like this. On the top there is a photo of my blooming flowers. The bottom pock has a transparency that has the word Monday on it in a diagonal pattern.

I wanted this pocket to also act as a see through element and so I added the word Shine on the diagonal and placed it so that it tucked right in the corner of the embellishments on the next page.
I added the word on with white letters underneath the shine piece.

The next set of pages looks like this.

On the left side of the spread I added a photo of us hiking.

The right side has a 4x4 pocket page that I added a photo on the top and some embellishments. This photo is of Katelyn doing her homework the night before they went back to school from Easter/Spring Break. Apparently she forgot she had homework until 8:30 that night.

The card below has some journaling about Maddie's Easter hat that she wore all day.

Here is a close up. The star is from a Studio Calico kit.

On the back side of the 4x4 page I added a photo of us doing laundry that morning. Mondays are usually laundry day. On the bottom I added in some journaling about what went on that day.

Here is a look at the full spread.

The next page protector has 4 3x4's. This page is all about the story of the oranges. We were on our way home from our hike and we passed a truck with a whole bunch of oranges in the back. My parents were intrigued and I told them that the guy was probably selling them. My mom asked me to turn around so she could go check it out. I added the story on this journaling card and this puffy word was perfect to tie in the story.

Turns out a minute further down the road we came across a guy selling avocados. So again we stopped. I snapped a photo of my parents carrying back their goodies and took a photo of the oranges we enjoyed last week.

** That wooden circle piece is from Color Cast Designs and she has a whole set of food related circles that are so cute !! ** Check them out in her shop.

The next spread is a combination of things that happened that day.

The left side has some more photos of our hike and some cards.

The right side of the spread has a 6x8 template page that I put together. This template is from Ali Edwards and part of her Week In The Life set.

It was fun to fill out my likes and dislikes from through the day. I added two photos as well.

The last set of pages for Monday I decided that I wanted to do a large photo. I left a white board around the whole thing and cropped it so that it went across the whole spread. In the main kit this year were these big days of the week pieces. I cut this one up and added it to my photo along with some embellishments. I love how this one turned out.

That is it for Monday you guys. Anyone else working on their Week In The Life album ? Or their PL album ? I wish you all a very scrappy day. Thanks for coming and I will see you next time.

Week In The Life | Thursday

Good Monday to you all ! How is everyone ? I have been fighting some allergy/sinus stuff for the past 3/4 days and hope to be on the mend soon. I want to get back to scrapping ! I haven't done any in forever.

Today I want to share with you my Thursday pages in my Week In The Life album. Here is what the first spread looks like for Thursday.

The first page here on the left is my title page. Throughout the entire album I have started each day with a large 6x8 photo. I left a white border around each one and also added the digital brush from Ali Edwards. The one that says This Is Thursday.

I have always loved vellum. It is a perfect supply to add to this type of project, mini albums, December Daily, ect. Especially when you get it on clearance ! I added some to this 3x8 page protector and added the circle Hello Thursday chipboard.

On the other side of the vellum I added a photo of some flowers I had bought that day.

I added in a photo of the ads that I looked through that morning before doing some meal planning/shopping. Turns out I was looking at the wrong weeks ads, that is why that epic fail sticker was appropriate. The sticker is from Simple Stories Carpe Diem collection.

Here is a look at the next spread.

After a morning of grocery shopping I snapped this photo of me putting the groceries away. I loved that blah blah blah sticker so much that I had to use it here. Putting away groceries is not high on my list.

This journaling card is from an old Studio Calico kit and I loved all the colors in it. I thought it went well with my photos and such. I also loved how it had all the days of the week on the side. I added in my arrows next to the Thursday to symbolize that it was Thursday.

During Week In The Life you tend to have lots of photos. I wanted to use them all so made my own template in photoshop by cropping my photos and placing them on a 6x8 layer. This is a great way to get extra photos into your album. There are plenty of easy photo templates out there that you can use to add in more photos to any project you are working on.

A close up of the bottom of the photo collage page. I added in a digital brush from Ali Edwards along with a word phrase sticker on the top.

This page is kind of busy. Lots of stuff going on but its ok. I tried to tie in a few of the colors that were in the photos and spread them around.

This template is from Ali's Week In The Life template pack. I really love these. They are easy to use and make pages like this simple and fast.

One other thing I want to point out is that I used this page as my themed page for the day. Each day throughout my album I have a saying, or a theme, to go along with the photos. In this case it was quotes. I chose " We Say" for Thursdays theme. I overheard lots of fun stuff that I recorded and told stories about. The top photo is about how I caught these two taking turns choosing their favorite spray setting. I did not okay this little experiment by the way. The second one was about the afternoon. Nobody wanted to do anything remotely productive. We ended up doing a pillow fight, making a fort, and some other random thing to pass the time.

This page has a photo of me making copies at the kid's school, a photo of the show I watched during lunch and the wood veneer number 4 to represent that it was the 4th day of the week.

Here is the back side of the previous page. A few more fun photos and two journaling cards. When I go about making pages like this that face each other I always try to make them match in color, ect. That way both of them look similar in color. Even if that means moving some photos around. You want a cohesive look.

This photo was an extra one that I needed to fit in my album. I added in the middle of the album without a page protector. This one was of us doing the dreaded multiplication flash cards.

I thought this card was perfect as an edition to the photo of us swimming. It looks like waves in the pool. I added the word swim and a few embellishments.

These are the last pages of Thursday. I took a nap on Thursday afternoon and woke up to the kids in the pool along with Patrick. He apparently threw them in with their clothes on.

In the beginning of this page I knew I wanted to use both the clear T and the number 6. Then I decided that it would be fun to add in the PM in the middle of the 6. So I positioned the PM in photoshop and printed the photo. I love how it turned out.

That is all for today. Thursday is all wrapped up.

Thanks for coming and I hope that you have having a fabulous day.
