Maddies photo shoot

I had bought Maddie a new outfit the day before and so she wanted me to take her picture. Of course, I said let's go. I grabbed my camera and we headed downstairs. So here are a few pictures from our photo shoot.

The full length shot.
The Sweet shot. The "I want to play peek a boo" shot.

This girl refuses and will not wear pants. So it is all about the skirts and leggings.
Another sweet shot.
What a great smile.

I am working on my project life week 3 so I will post that soon. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Project life Week 2 and some extras

Woke up to this wonderful scene this morning. Also this morning it was so cold and very windy so it made it even colder outside. The high was supposed to get to 15 !! Spring where are you?

I read an article in the newspaper a few weeks ago about a father having a "daddy" day with his kids every month. A one on one, do anything, day. Whether it be going to get an ice cream cone, playing at the park, or just reading a story together. I thought it was a wonderful idea. They did it each month on the day that the child was born. So being the first of the month and Maddie was born March 1 it made it her day. Our very first "Daddy" day. Maddie was so thrilled to have daddy all to her self- even though we all joined in at the end. She was asked what she wanted to do with daddy and since the video games are pretty popular in our household right now that is what she choose. They sat there for a little while playing by themselves, no pants and messy hair. I loved it. I hope that we can keep this new found tradition going.

Week 2 of Project Life is complete. This is side one. January 12 - January 20. January 11 was our anniversary and we went on a short one night stay up at the condo in Midway. It was so nice to get away and have some good family time. I want to do a layout on our trip so that is why its not in the book yet. So the first picture is of katelyn's signature. The second picture is of her third helping of breakfast. Lately the girls have been eating alot in the mornings. It blows me away how much they have for breakfast. The third picture is of a camera that i would like to have someday. I also included a menu from our favorite restaurant up in Park City. We ate there for dinner during our stay.

This is side 2 of week 2. The first picture is of the oils I have to keep us all healthy and to help Noah with his lactose problems. We could not live without that one. The second picture is of me when i was asked to come and speak at Enrichment night at the church. I went and talked about scrapbooking and then we went and put together a layout that I made for the ladies. It was fun.
The third picture is of Maddie at her first tumbling class. All the kids had to wait in line to do jumps, somersaults, ect. She loved it. The fourth picture is of Katelyn working on her "Project Life" book. She kept begging me to get one for her and so i gave in and went to Roberts and she picked out her own album and then she asked for some page protectors like mine. We filled some pages up with pictures she picked out and she was busy journaling on her journaling cards. It was really fun to have her scrapbooking with me !! I am really enjoying this new way of scrapbooking. It something new and I think that is what is really inspiring me right now. Here is a look at the whole week put together.

Project life 2011

I am participating in Project Life again this year and so excited. It has become a favorite of mine. It really highlights the everyday life of our little family. This year I really want to add more to my album. If you are not familiar with the product I will try to explain. It is a scrapbooking kit that is so easy to use. You put your pictures in the slots and journal on the journaling cards. The above picture is of my cover page. I wanted to put a picture of all of us on the front, to show how we look in the beginning of 2011.
This is the very first page of January. It covers January 1-4. The kit includes the journaling cards in the top left slot. There are many to choose from in the kit. It also comes with a date stamp that you see on the journaling card. There are 4 picture slots on each side(page protector). The first picture is of my brother Rob and maddie bowling. He and his girlfriend Brighton were here after christmas and we all went bowling on Jan. 1. The kit also includes the journaling cards in the middle of the pictures. The cards are amazing. I love them. The kit also includes number stickers and days of the week stickers. The second picture is actually maddie's signature. I wanted to include that because she worked so hard in preschool to write her name. The third picture is of Noah with the windex. He is my little helper around the house.

This is a 8.5x11 page that i did about Noah playing with his trains. There were so many pictures that I couldn't just choose one for the album. So I did this digitally, so much faster, and then printed it out and stuck it in our album. The journaling talks about how he takes the trains, and the tracks out to the table just about every day and then we play trains. I love having these types of pages in my book and plan on doing some more throughout the year.

This page is the second side of my first week of January. The first picture is of Maddie right before hat day at preschool. The second picture is of Maddie lining up the magnetic letters on the
fridge. She has got them all down now thanks to help from home and preschool. The third picture is of our mailbox. The four picture is of Noah. I also included Noah's 18 month checkup paper from the pediatrician. It says weight, height. I also included my ticket from "date night". We saw Secretariat. I loved it of course.

This is what the whole week looks like all together. This album has been so fun to put together and am going to try to get caught up on this year. I just got finished with last years album. So I will share when I get them done. Thanks for looking everyone.

Dinosaur Museum

If you are reading this here are a few tidbits.

#1.Yes, we are alive and well. Staying busy with life and loving it.

#2. I didn't know I had readers !!

#3. I haven't blogged in such a long time because I didn't think you were out there.

So today we went to the Dinosaur Museum down at Thanksgiving Point. We got a family membership from my wonderful brother for Christmas. They have Museum Mondays every monday and today there was a huge snow storm that covered some of the dinosaurs. The girls got their hats and binoculars ready before we left and used them throughout our night at the museum. All the kids had fun, Noah went running around saying " ROAR" and there was lots of pointing going on. Katelyn and Maddie pretended to be characters from the show "DINO DAN" as they searched for dinosaurs. Then we got to the dino pit, maddie and Katelyn first had to bury the dino bones so they could find them, sounds like a logical thing to do. Noah decided to try to bury himself but gave up way before he was done. All in all, it was a great night and now we have two new dinosaurs, courtesty of the gift shop, to add to the already millionth dinosaur currently taking over our household.

Day 2 - Actually I ended up adding another page to day 1. I wanted to include how the kids were being Naughty and not Nice.

Day 2 - Page 1. Decorating the tree
Other side. Katelyn and Maddie were
pretending that they were Rudolph and Santa. Katelyn was pulling the sled and Maddie would
get out frequently to deliver toys to the children.
Decorating the tree and Katelyn was my light helper.
Other side. More decorating. The kids love to decorate
the tree. The love to take all the ornaments out then put them on the tree.

Wheeler Farm with Grandpa

Grandpa was Noah's safe haven today. When he got scared he would grab grandpa's hand.

Noah stole Maddie's sucker and is playing peek a boo with grandpa

Please don't hug me

Proof that Maddie put her shoes all by herself - they are on the wrong feet.

My three cuties. Grandpa is making funny faces to try to get some smiles.

Noah loved to sit and pretend drive the tractors. He wanted to ride all of them.

Katelyn tried to pet the cow and it lifted up his head and pinned her arm between the fence. ** Followup ** Katelyn and the Cow are both fine now.
Ducks are Noah's favorite, he can even say quack, quack. Today he was a little hesitant to get close to them. He was either right by Grandpa or watching from afar.
