Princess Meet & Greet

I've been slowly working through my Disney pictures from our 2012 trip. We were there for an entire week so you can imagine how many pictures and stories I have to scrap !! But that's okay, it's been fun to see them all again..

I got to work with the new Enchanted line from Simple Stories this week. Wow, it is awesome and full of great colors, and all things girly and princess.

Here is what I came up with.

Simple Stories came out with these great silver photo overlays. I used the castle as part of my title card. One of the other things that Simple Stories came out with this year was this great washi tape strips, I love them !! They are the perfect size for pocket pages and I used a few of the strips on the top of the title card.

Simple Stories also has a pack of these new chipboard frames. So fun for pictures or journaling.

Moving on to the second page.

I used another one of the silver photo overlays. I snapped a photo of the girls Autograph book, and placed the overlay on top. I also put some journaling onto the photo before I printed it.

I think this might be my favorite card in the whole bunch.  I added a digital brush to the top. Also adding a washi tape strip to the bottom of the card.

I had a great time playing with this Enchanted line and can't wait to create with it again.

Project Life Week 1

Here I am as promised, although a little later than expected, with my week 1 pages.

I really want to stay current this year, or at least try to. As well as work on my 2014 album. So I told myself to try and go a little bit simpler this year. 

I used the January Studio Calico kit for this week and I sure do love the color combinations. 

I always like to start out my albums with January 1 st no matter where they fall in the week. This year happened to be Thursday the 1 st through Sunday the 4 th and I was okay with that. 

At the the end of 2014 the kids and I were at my parents house visiting. We drove home on Saturday to prepare for the kids getting back in school on Monday. 

Here is my title card. 

I loved this triangle card from the SC kit. I added some journaling at the top, and added the fun stamp and the abbreviations for UTAH to the middle of the card.

I used a paislee press journaling card. You can find it here.  I printed it out onto cardstock.  The Happy New Year card.

Used this brush from Ali Edwards. Click here to find it.  I love it when me and the hubby are in the kitchen cooking together. We made a Roasted Whole Chicken with potatoes and carrots.

Here is the second page. I only had a handful of photos from week 1. It just made sense to use a smaller page protector.

New Beginnings and a little organization

His First Field Trip

I wanted to pop in and share a few Project Life pages that I created for a Creative Team assignment.

Back in October the Kindergarteners went on their first field trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. I was so happy to be joining them and so was Noah. Before the big day came he kept asking if it was field trip day !!

Here is a look at both pages.

I used the Midnight Core Kit for this project and also some misc. Studio Calico PL kit items.

A very simple title card. Sometimes that is all you need.

I used a digital overlay from the Just Add Color kit. Although they have a physical kit available as well.

Noah wanted to hold my hand the whole trip. I was not complaining !!

I liked this little banner that was on one of the photo overlays in the pack. But it was on the wrong side on the overlay. Meaning it was located on the left side and I needed it for the right side. I fixed that, simply by cutting it out and glueing to my photo where I wanted it.  Don't be afraid to customize products to fit your needs.

This Sweet Life | Week 41 of 2012

Happy Tuesday everyone !!

I am so fortunate to be working with 3 great companies this year.  With that comes sharing the projects that I have made with their products. Yipeee, right ?!!

Today I want to share a layout that I did using the Noelmingon.com kits. They have one regular scrapbooking kit and one geared towards pocket pages. And naturally that is the one I get to work with every month. It is called the Daily Diary.

The kit that I was working with this month was called Hey Girl. So let me get to the sharing part now shall I !

One of my goals this year is to try and get some pages done and get caught up to the current time. I was looking through my 2012 album and noticed that I have a couple months missing.

It sure was fun to be looking through older photos. Especially of my kids, because they have grown up so much since then. It was really fun to go back, print some of these photos and re live some of these fun moments.

This layout is from 2012 and week 41. October 8 - 14th.

Here is the first page.

I decided to enlarge this photo of the kids riding down the sidewalk. It is always fun to have a bigger photo and I added the week # and date to the picture on the right where there was a blank space.

I cropped it to 4x12 and printed it out as two separate 4x6 photos. I wanted to try and keep the illusion of the two pockets being one photo and so I added the small strip of patterned paper onto both photos.

Here is the right side. I used a Design J from Becky Higgins. 

Katelyn was very interested in bow and arrows since the movie Brave came out. She made her very own bow and arrow.

That is a wrap on week 41. Another week in the books. Another week documented. Feels really good. 

Project Life Week 41 | 2014

Hello everyone ! Happy Monday !

I want to say hello to any newcomers to the blog. Welcome and I am glad to have you here.

Today over on the Becky Higgins blog she shared the first 2015 Creative Team post. It is an honor and a privilege to have my pages on her site.

I wanted to share some more details about my pages today.

Here is what both pages look like.

This page was made with the Aqua Core Kit cards. I also used the Overlays Value Pack. A must have in my opinion, one of my favorites.

I chose to go back to 2014 and do some catch up.

I snapped this photo with my iphone at the grocery store. Loved all the colors. There were signs of fall everywhere that week. I chose to get a photo of the pumpkins.

Noah wanted his face painted like a tiger !

A journaling card about Noah wanting to dance with me. And not the best photo of us dancing, but I had my daughter take it with my iphone. I will take it !

I used one of my favorite filler cards from the Aqua Core Kit.  Paired with a photo from the park.

I printed some journaling onto one of the card and then sliced it down and put it onto the photo.

I used one of the 3x4 overlays and put it over my grid journaling card. Noah passed off his first set of sight words and earned a sticker. He was pretty excited to show it to me when he got home from school.

I used one of the bi fold cards for a recap of our week. I added one of the pieces of chipboard from the overlay value kit.
