More Cheese Please !! Documenting Disney Magic.

Hello everyone. Happy Monday to you all.

I am super excited to be able to share some Disney Project Life pages with you today. I did these for a Simple Stories Design Team project using their Say Cheese 2 line.

You guys, if you have Disney pictures to scrapbook then you have to see this Simple Stories stuff. It is so perfect and awesome. Okay moving on now.

I was able to finish 2 pocket pages plus a smaller 6x12 insert for this project. Here is a look at the left side and then the insert.

Here is my title card. Since these photos were random Disney photos I used the Disney Castle Die Cut and some other embellishments. In this new Say Cheese 2 collection, there are some gold foiled pieces that are so cool.  You can't really tell from the photos, believe me it was super hard to photograph. But in real life these pieces are great. The wish circle is gold foiled.

A few photos and journaling cards.

I used a photo overlay on top of this photo aboard Dumbo. I added the gold heart underneath the overlay so that it had a layered look.

Me and Maddie decided to not ride the roller coaster and to wait for the others. Well, we got bored. And started making funny faces and texting them to Patrick and the others. We had so much fun !!

These are some filler cards I created.

This one has one of the gold photo overlays over top of the journaling card. Another new thing this year is the wood veneers, super fun.

Here is the other side of both the insert and the 12x12 page.

One side of the insert was all about Mickey and the other side was about Minnie.

This little Minnie Bow is a sticker folks, isn't it soooooo cute !! I just had to add it to the Mickey ears.

One of my favorite moments of the trip. This was our first day and we had not made it over to cars land yet. We happened to be in the right spot to catch the parade. Noah was overjoyed to see his favorite character at the time, Mater, driving his way ! It was simply magical.

Our kids love the Redwood Creek Trail area over in California adventure. They beg and beg to go over there all the time when we are at Disneyland. This is a picture of Maddie climbing the rock wall inside of a chipboard frame.

I used another chipboard piece as a frame.

I added some journaling onto this card and used the wood veneer word "magic".

I've still got some more pages to complete of our Disney trip back in 2012. I can't wait to do some more using the Say Cheese line from Simple Stories. So much fun !

Thanks for coming ! Stay tuned tomorrow. I have some more Project Life Inspiration for you !

I am trying to document a trip to Disneyland from about 20 years ago and just came across your beautiful pages!! Can I ask how you go about printing on the journal cards?

Thank you for your nice comments. They always make my day. I use photoshop to place my journaling on the card. I start with a digital blank grid journaling card that you can find on Becky Higgins shop. Or use a 3x4 layer. Then I figure out what embellishments I want to add to the card and use a ruler to see how
much room I have to add my journaling in. Once my journaling is on the card I will print a test card. I have an ott lite that I can hold the test card up behind the actual journaling card. So I can see behind it and make sure that the spacing is okay. If it is not I move things around and then once I am ready I will print on the actual card. It seems like a long process but usually its not. Now if I have a digital version of the cards, that is always easier. I know exactly where I need to put my journaling. I did a tutorial years back if you want to take a look at it, there is a link on the right hand side of the blog under tutorials. I keep meaning to do another tutorial, maybe this year will be it. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Jodie - check out this wonderful tutorial that my friend Tracie put together. She uses word and it looks like a great way to go. Link is below.
