Howdy everyone ! Happy Tuesday. It's me again, I know. Two days in a row. Woohoo, go me ! I might be ignoring my home duties just a tad but I am so excited to be sharing another week of Project Life with you today.
These pages are from Week 14. I am very happy about how they came out, especially since I am kind of going through a creative dry spell. It happens every once in a while. NOT my favorite, but I just have to work through it.
I created this one for my second Kellie Stamps Creative Team pages for April. I used the digital stamp set called RAD ! Rad it is, you can find it here. Here is the photo of all the lovely stamps in the set.
As you will see I decided to use a different page protector to try and help my create juices start working again. I can't remember which letter version the page protector it is but I cut off the last row.
Okay, let's get to it shall we.
This week was the start of sports for the kids. It rained most of the weekend, and it is starting to heat up so I took the kids for their first swim of the year. I will go over more details later.
I created my title card this week. I started by making a visual line using the cross that comes in the digital stamp set. I made them all the same size. To make it fun I changed the colors of some of them and tilted a few. I added the week # brush from One Little Bird.
Katelyn has soccer practice once a week and a game on Saturdays. I went with a black and white photo here because the photo was clashing with all my other ones. I rarely do black and whites but it worked this time. I added the " Hello You " stamps onto the photo and then added the star.
This Happy card was so fun to create. I used the stamp Happy and layered them on the card for a fun look. This card is talking about my girls and how they have been awarded stuff at school for academics. Go girls ! The small photo is of the kids splashing in the gutter over the weekend when it was raining like crazy.
Here is another rainy photo. I picked up the kids from the bus stop a lot this week so I snapped a picture.
The journaling card is about the kids starting sports. I think the chipboard piece was from the Storytelling with Ali Edwards kit and I added it on the top. The story stamp is from the RAD digital stamp set.
As I mentioned earlier the weather is getting hottish. This particular day it was 95 degrees and so I took the kids over to the gym pool and they were in heaven. It was our first swim this year. I added the stamp on the bottom along with a few embellishments.
Let's move onto the right side now.
In the most recent Studio Calico kit they had this fun " Good Eats " card. I wanted to use it but the physical card was a vertical card. I needed a horizontal card and so I printed one out with the help of digital card kit. Before printing it out I added some journaling onto it.
Sunday night I cooked this delicious chicken dish. I snapped a photo of it and added it onto the 4x6 card.
Oh, let's talk about the page protector. Turns out I took a whole boat load of photos this week. I decided to scale down the regular week photos and add in an insert with a few events that I wanted to add. Plus it is always fun to mix it up once in a while.
The other side is a selfie that Katelyn took in her room. I added some journaling to the middle of the photo and a few cluster journaling. Love it !
Once more photo for today. Here is the bottom part of this right side.
Let's start out with the cross card I made. I combined two digital stamps (the cross and "these days") to make a black and white filler card. I paired it with a photo of me at Home Depot buying flowers and such.
The bottom row is all about getting out the slip n slide. I turned this photo black and white to match with the other one on the other side of the spread. The journaling card talks about Noah's begging and pleading for weeks to get the slip n slide out.
Well everyone. That is it for me today. Sorry about the bad photo quality. It was super cloudy and dark today, blah. Oh well. Until next time. I have week 4 to share with you sometime this week. Woohoo.
Happy scrappying everyone.

Project Life Week 11 | Simple Stories Carpe Diem
Happy Monday everyone ! I wanted to share with you my Project Life Week 11 spread today. For this week I created some pages for a Simple Stories Creative Team assignment. I used the Simple Stories line called Carpe Diem. The colors are seriously my current favorites.
Okay let's get to it, it's going to be a short post today. Here is a look at both of the pages.
I loved this 4x6 card that has a great quote on it. I decided to use it as my title card. It was already embellished with those patterned paper circles around the bottom so I only added one sticker, a few enamel dots and I stamped on the dates.
This journaling card came together rather well. I added the chipboard frame at the top to frame in my saying. Down below there is a quote from Maddie when they were blowing bubbles. I wanted the quote itself to stand out and so I left some space around it and put some small embellishments separating the two journaling spaces. The photo next to it is what these two can be found doing all afternoon most days.
I really loved this flower 3x4 card but I knew that if I printed my journaling right onto the card it might not show up well. So I printed out journaling strips and it worked out perfectly. I need to remember that I can do this with any busier card that otherwise I wouldn't use.
My lavender plants are blooming right now and I added in a photo of them with a few fun embellishments.
For the past couple of years I have been buying myself some Spring Flowers. I love tulips, they are my favorite and so of course I had to document that.
This week was kind of hectic and I added in a little pep talk onto my photo underneath those letters stickers.
The bottom left picture is of Maddie blowing bubbles. I really was happy to capture this moment. Someday soon I know that the kids won't want to blow bubbles anymore ! The bottom right card is all about celebrating PI day. Every year it is tradition to eat pizza and pie for dinner.
Let's move on to the right side now. This side is more of a busy side. Lots of busier photos and so I tried to not go to crazy with the embellishments. But you know me and I love to play around with all the pretty stuff. Lol. Let's see, this side is about a lunch date I had with Patrick, St. Patrick's day, Spring Break kick off at Target, and a trip down to the American Girl Doll store.
A closer look at some of the right side. The top left corner picture is a lunch date for some delicious Indian food. Yumm.
We really try to go out once a week or so and meet for lunch. Today we ate an Indian buffet with ordering garlic naan and mango lasses. In my album I added some journaling and a few stickers.
Maddie was willing to pose for me for a St. Patrick's day photo. Love her.
I really loved this coral heart card. I added a clear smaller heart and a sticker to finish it off. Next to it is a photo of Katelyn eating lunch at the American Girl Store cafe. Both of the girls took their animals instead of dolls. It was super fun !
The last close up I want to show you is this fun 4x6 journaling card. I seriously loved all the circles on it and thought it would make a fun journaling card. And it also tied in to the title card on the other side. I added a variety of stickers, chipboard pieces, and the word love from the Bits and Pieces pack. The journaling talks about our girls trip down to Hollywood to celebrate a friends birthday.
Thanks for coming everyone ! I am sorry it took me so long to get this post up. Last week was super rough for us and I had to take time elsewhere and be with my family. I am hoping that things settle down now and I can share more on the blog.
I do have a post coming tomorrow. I have completed week 14 using the April releases from Kellie Stamps so stay tuned for that.

Project Life Week 6 | Kellie Stamps
Happy Tuesday everybody !
I am happy to be here with you today and I want to share with you my Project Life Week 6. I created this week with the help of the April release of Kellie Stamps. I am still loving the ease of using digital stamps for embellishing.
I used a combination of both of the Kellie Stamps releases for this week. RAD and COFFEE.
The color scheme pretty much set itself this week. I love when that happens don't you ?!!
This title card is from the BH everyday collection. I needed to tie in some pink on this left side so I used those pink letters and left the rest of it plain.
This particular week was when the announcement of the Kellie Creative Team came out and that I had made it. I added the team badge to this journaling card from Ali Edwards Story Kit.
I added the digital brush from the COFFEE set to this photo of the girls. The girls were busy this week selling Girl Scout Cookies in the neighborhood.
This week on Monday the kids didn't have school. We were invited to go out to the stables and ride her horse. We all took a turn and it was so fun to be back in the saddle again.
I wanted to talk a bit about us picking up and getting to sell Girl Scout Cookies. It was the girls first year as Girl Scouts and they are really loving it.
I set some of the cookie boxes down and took a photo. I wanted to leave lots of white space so that I could journal on the photo.
Sometimes when I am taking photos to add to my PL album I have an idea in my head on how I am going to use the photo. For instance this one, I knew I wanted to add big letters and some journaling. Other photos I like to leave lots of white space to be able to embellish and add journaling. It is always something I try and keep in the back of my mind.
Let's move onto the right side of my spread. This particular journaling card tells the story of when Noah and I went to Chipolte for lunch. I wanted to highlight and write in big letters " Spongebob
Tears ". So I added that to the middle and made the text larger for more of an effect. I finished it off by embellishing the bottom corner.
I love printing on vellum. I printed out one of the digital stamps onto vellum and layered it onto this black and white heart card. One of the fun things you can do is add things underneath the vellum for a fun look. I added a few washi tape stickers and a gold star. One other thing I added to this filler card is the patterned paper. I felt that it needed some color so I cut up another card and added it to the bottom.
This first card was fun to make. It is a card from the BH Everyday Core Kit. I started out by playing with some of the digital stamps from the RAD set. I used the + stamp and made a few different sizes and also recolored them. Then I added the Making Something stamp to the top.
I added one more digital stamp to the small photo on the right. My parents were here visiting and this is how I found them when I came downstairs. They sure do love their grandpa !
I had bought some pre Valentine's Day flowers for the kids that week. I also brought home some donuts for us to enjoy.
I am loving the ease and creative uses for silkscreens lately. I used the one from the Studio Calico kit and some gold paint and added a fun pattern to my photo. I added a digital stamp to the photo before printing and I love the result of it all.
One more close up. Here is the photo of Noah doing his " Spongbob Tears " impression ! This kid is a crack up.
To be honest, this week has been sitting empty in my album for a while now. I am not sure why, maybe I was not inspired with some of the photos. I am not sure. Because I do love all the small stories that this week holds. But I am so happy to have it done now and I think the digital stamps definitely do help the creative process going for me. Thanks for coming everyone !

Project Life Week 2
Hello everyone. I am here with you today and am going to share with you today my Project Life Week 2.
I am going to try and make a conscious effort to share more here on the blog.
Most of the journaling cards used for this spread came from misc. Studio Calico kits. I am still subscribing to their documenters kits and still love them.
Week 2 included lots of fun stories and events. The green, pink, red, color scheme mainly came from the journaling cards. I started with them and then went on from there. Usually I start with the photos and then match the colors in the photos with the journaling cards. Remember there are is no right or wrong way to do this. The photos have a wide variety of colors in them but there is a hint of the color scheme mixed in.
The title card is pretty basic this time around. I started out with a white lined journaling card and added the week # brush from One Little Bird. I added the clear arrow transparency from the Heidi Swapp value kit to add in a little green. As 2016 has progressed I have used the date stamp for my title card quite a few times, its an easy and fast way to add the dates for the title card without having to print them through my printer.
This fun gold foiled camera card is from the SC kit and tells the small story of Maddie bringing leafs from school home from me.
The #14 is a symbol of our 14 Wedding Anniversary that happened this week. I had one of the kids take the photo so we could both be in the photo, well our hands anyways. It was a fun and different way to photograph our special day.
I added a digital brush from the Becky Higgins Cobalt kit. It was the perfect saying to go along with my photo.
I chose this card because it went well with the other 4x6 card on the other side of the spread. The colors were the same and there is a hint of gold foil. I printed out a smaller photo so that there was room on the card for my journaling.
We ended up eating at In and Out for dinner to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Things seemed to keep coming up and I was super grateful to go out at all. I snapped a photo of our dinner and added the MON embellishment in the middle.
Creating Week 1.
Here is a look at the right side. I really loved this filler journaling card and used it this week. This week it seemed that the kids were always having light saber fights and so I got a few photos.
The pink card has a funny quote from Maddie about going to the dark side !
It is hard to see in the photo but Katelyn is listening to music with her headphones. This and only this is what she wants to do 24 hrs a day. I am glad that I was able to snap a photo of her.
I remember on Friday the weather was so nice that I caught myself outside sweeping the porch and wanting to do some yard work. Crazy right ?!! Yard work in January ?!! The brush is from Ali Edwards, an older set I believe.
This card was super fun and I decided to add in the dates under the yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I used a stamp set from the SC kit to stamp the numbers. I also added a small stamp on the right because I felt like it needed a little something. These types of cards are perfect to document those daily tidbits.
Well that is it for me today. That wraps up week 2. Next up is a spread I did for Simple Stories and then Week 4, which is one of my favorites this year.
Thanks for coming everyone.
