Happy Thursday everyone !
I am back with another Project Life spread to share with you. This one is all about our adventure on Martin Luther King Day. We decided at 11 am that morning to pack up the car and drive down to the beach. We had such a good time.
Typically I do my spreads weekly with a few events in between. I decided to add in this spread about going to the beach and also a spread about us going to Disneyland the previous week. That left only a handful of regular weekly photos. Instead of trying to add in things, stretch the photos I had, and or take more photos. I combined week 2 and 3 together.
I want to be clear about Project Life. There are no rules. You can do it however you want to. You can add whatever into those wonderful pockets and it will be ok. I am so happy how January is turning out. This year I do not want to stress about my scrapbooking. It is not supposed to stressful. It is supposed to be joyful and creative and fun. So that is what I am making it to be.
Okay let's get to the good stuff. Here is a look at the whole spread.
One other thing I want to point out about this spread is the page protector on the left side. I went with design G this time. It was so fun to take a break from the normal.
I have been wanting to use this card from a Heidi Swapp value kit for a while now. This page was it. I added in the words " beach days" under the yes to. It was perfect because we did say yes to a beach day. I added a few embellishments on the card and called it done.
When I go about putting my spreads together I like to look through my embellishment stash, well more like baskets, and pull stuff out to use. This star was the perfect color combo and I had the idea to try and add it to a multiple of photos. ** I have a youtube video about how I put this whole spread together if you are interested. **
Link to the video
I added it to the bottom right photo first with my tiny attacher. Then cut the rest off with some scissors. I did the same technique to add it to the other two photos.
I wanted to break up my photos with journaling cards. I have this one down at the bottom that has some journaling on it. I added a few pieces of embellishments to the corner. That black acrylic piece is from Color Cast Designs January set. The day sure was awesome.
On the top part of the page I added in a photo of the fog that we drove thru that morning. Also I added in this filler card. That gold piece is from Studio Calico kit and it was the perfect saying. The beach is my happy place.
Let's move over to the right side.
I took this great photo of noah in the waves that I wanted to make big. Before I printed it out I added a few digital brushes to the top white space in the photo.
We hiked around the sand dunes as well as built sand castles.
I chose to bring in some of this pretty pink/orange color. I added this pinkish card around the photos to try and break up the photos.
This white heart piece is an acrylic from Color Cast Designs. I thought that it would add some interest to add some patterned paper underneath that middle heart. So I found some bluish paper and love how it turned out.
That is a wrap. Thank you all for coming today. I hope that you have perhaps found some inspiration and are able to get scrappy this weekend.
I have a youtube video up on my channel that walks you through how this spread came together. Here is a link to the video.

Project Life Week 1
Hello everyone !
Even though I am not finished with my 2016 album I have decided to move on to 2017. Yay !! I can't wait to work on it some more.
Typically I have skipped right over the title page for my Project Life albums. Not this year though, I was so inspired by everyone's pages that I wanted to make my own. So I got busy and kept it simple.
Let's take a look at my title page.
As I mentioned above, I kept it simple and went with a color scheme that I loved. This awesome acrylic piece was available from Color Cast Designs. I believe that she is out of stock already but you never know. You can check out her shop at Color Cast Designs.com
I felt like this card needed some color so that you could see the 2017 better. I traced the O and cut out some patterned paper to go underneath.
Let's move on to my week 1 shall we. Here is what the whole thing looks like.
Looking back over it now I can see how the left side is more busy/heavy than the right side is. I think I got all excited to do some PL that I put to many things on with some busy photos. Anywhos, maybe I'm just crazy. In the end I am happy with my first week. I told some great stories and documented some fun times in our lives.
Let's start with the title card. I really love these white rubber pieces that come in my Studio Calico kits every month. This time I decided to cut off most of the word and only use the JAN. I used that gold star and a scrap piece of patterned paper underneath the rubber piece. After I had everything on the title card I added that small pink heart for a tiny bit of color.
I am not quite sure what was happening with my printer on a few of these cards but I am going with it and not worrying about it at all. This first journaling card talks about the kids Promise Pets and how they held a training academy with them for a few days. I added a few P's for Promise Pets and a few simple embellishments. The photo next to is of my mom's rouladen that she made us. It was soooo good. I added that circle piece with a stamped heart on it as well as that cork piece.
This week my parents were here for a visit. While we were out shopping I snapped a selfie in front of a mirror at Hobby Lobby. The next card holds another acrylic piece from Color Cast Designs. I added a strip of washi underneath the piece for a pop of color.
This photo is one that I took while the kids were playing PP Training Academy. I added a stamp along my wood wall in the photo as well as a few embellishments on the other side. Isn't that cute little dog paw cute ! That is another piece from Color Cast Designs. They come in a 4 pack and they are still available. I think they are soooooo cute !
Let's move on the right side. That photo of Noah is of him making " weapons" for their home they made at the park.
This right side has kind of a dark side. I tried to balance it out as best I could but in the end I was happy with it. These photos are from our adventures at the park. We originally went to get some photos of Maddie for a project I needed them for. Afterwards the kids ended up playing along the river and built a house. I am not sure why the colors are so off in these photos of my pages but oh well.
This photo is of a story that I have been meaning to tell for a while now. I have been thinking about what kind of things I want in my 2017 album. These types of things are exactly what I want to fill my album with. The story is small but meaningful. I stamped The Story onto some cardstock and added it onto the top of my journaling.
Here is the last part of my right side that I want to share. I created a filler card with that cute green tree and that work/play banner. The other card talks about some stories at the park. The card is from a Ali Edwards story kit and I thought it was great that it said the best part and the worst part.
That is it for me today. Thank you all soooo much for coming over to the blog today. I am so happy to have such a great start on my 2017 album.

Project Life Week 46 | 2016 | Quilted Hearts
Hello, hello everyone.
I am so excited to be sharing a Project Life spread with you all today. This particular spread is from Week 46 of 2016. I am nowhere near finished with my 2016 PL album yet so I am always grateful to get a week completed.
A while back I was asked by the fabulous duo of Tori Bissell and Theresa Moxley if I would create something with their first digital collection. They were starting a company called A Scrap Explosion.
Here is a link to the website and shop. Please go check it out. They have journaling cards, digital papers, and cut files.
The ladies over at Scrap Explosion are doing a giveaway over on their blog starting right now. So please head on over there to enter to win the whole collection. Yippee !! Here is the link for entering.

The colors are great. Lots of pinks, yellows, and blues. I went through my un scrapped photos and found some that would work with the colors in the collection.
So let's get started. Here is what my spread looks like.
I am loving these white rubber months that are in the Studio Calico kits. I knew that I wanted to use it for my title card. The card I chose is a light grey pattern paper, which is hard to see in these photos.
Oh I want to mention that I printed all of my journaling cards from the digital kits. This time I printed on regular cardstock but I want to pick up some presentation paper and try that out. I have heard that the colors are better and they turn out great.
I added some of the digitals underneath the November piece. Since the card was a lighter color and the November was white I thought that it needed some color.
No we do not have a cat but there are plenty of animals in the neighborhood that we don't need one. LOL. But seriously, we have these darling neighbor cat that likes to hang out around our front porch. I don't mind it at all. She is super friendly and cute ! She loves belly and eat rubs. So I took a few photos so that we would remember Sabby in case she finds another random family to go hang out with. Ha Ha. Anyways.
This first card is all about Sabby. I added that cute cat piece from a Studio Calico kit along with the navy blue word strip. The next photo is of a gorgeous sunset that we watched as we drove home one night.
This yellow journaling card has some journaling about our quick Krispie Kreme visit one night. This particular card was one the last ones that I completed and I had this feeling that it was missing something. So I added that blue banner from the digital cut outs. Then I added a few more things onto the banner to finish off the card.
Let's move on to the other side now.
This white journaling card was so fun to put together. I used one of the cut files from the collection and printed it off onto vellum. ( the black heart outline) I placed some hearts on the journaling card so that you could see them underneath the vellum piece.
It turned out that this whole side ended up being about Katelyn and her robotics scrimmage. Which was perfect since I was all out of photos anyways.
Katelyn is currently in the robotics program at school. They had a scrimmage at school that weekend. I added the word robotics to that blue card and added my journaling underneath.
During the scrimmage each team had a chance to go into the Ring and score points. It was so fun to watch the girls navigate their Robot and figure it all out.
I want to thank Tori & Theresa for this invitation to create with their beautiful products. It was so fun.
Until Next Time.

Project Life 2016 | Week 10
Hello everyone !
Welcome to 2017 everybody. I have been in my scrap room all morning today. Working on this and that, looking through my 2016 albums. I wanted to pop in today and share a Project Life Spread that I haven't shared yet.
This was back in March. Week 10 to be in fact.
This week was one of my favorites. Not in the fact that there are amazing photos, or the best looking. But in the fact that I documented lots of wonderful stories about our lives at that exact moment. Its so hard to explain but bear with me.
*** Disclaimer. Soooo long story short. These photos of my pages are so not the best. I pulled this week out of the album and left them in the pockets. It is currently raining here. But I wanted to see if I can share this week quickly with you today. ******* So please forgive me.
This week was Spring Break. We had all these plans for fun activities that we didn't get to do. I was seriously on the couch, with a rag on my forehead the entire time. UHHHH.
This first journaling card talks about how I find the kids stuffed animals all over the house, all the time.
Since we live in such an agricultural area it is not uncommon to see a tractor at least once a day. I have always loved tractors from my horse riding/working on the farm days. So I snapped a photo from the car of the farmer working on his tractor. I added in my story on the above journaling card with a hashtag #secretlywanttoownatractor. Yep. Call me crazy.
That left photo of the car stereo is on of my favorites. I took the photo while we were driving to the movies on Saturday knowing that it would be perfect to add my little story to it. As soon as we get into the car Katelyn requests for me to turn the music up and turn it to #2 preset station.
As you can see, I included lots of words this week. I love it. Lots of stories that were on my mind at the time that I wanted to document.
The top right photo is of the kids's stuffed animals that they had left before school.
Journaling cards. More stories. Love.
More stories and a picture of my PHO bowl.
This bottom photo was one that I had wanted to take for some time now and I was so happy that I was able to capture it. It is kind of hard to see but it says Saturday Chores. Typically Saturday mornings are spent cleaning the house. We line up all the chairs in the family room so that we can mop the floor and music is always playing on the tv. After the whole house is clean is my favorite.
Alright everyone. That is a look at my week 10. I hope to share more Project Life spreads here in the near future. Oh yeah and get working on my 2017 album.

December Daily 2016 | Day 15 & 16
Welcome back everyone !
I have been working hard behind the scenes on a few crafty projects lately. Sorry If I have been MIA lately. I took a break from my projects today and finished Days 15 and 16 in my December Daily album. Let's get to it shall we.
Day 15 | Harry and Lucy the elves (left side)
The kids woke up to the elves and some friends having Reindeer lessons. I took a photo of them from up on the staircase and love the perspective. I printed out a 6x8 photo and added the white number stickers. The acrylic piece is from Color Cast Designs and says SO Cheeky. It's from her Elf set and it's so cute ! The last thing I added was that gold star.
Honestly I plan on being super simple with the rest of my album. I want to wrap it up so I can move on. Would I love to spend hours and hours making a fabulous last part of my album ? Yes of course but I'm going to let it go and move on.
Day 16 | Katelyn's band concert.
The journaling card here is from the main DD kit and I added a green word sticker under the falala. I felt that the card could use some gold somewhere so I added a strip of washi on the bottom. There was a hint of gold hue coming from the photos and thought that the gold would help tie it all together.
This photo on the bottom is of all of the kids on stage. I wanted to find a way of point or highlighting where Katelyn was in the photo. I added that white geotag above where she was and then added the red letter K next to it.
That is a wrap for days 15 and 16. I am still loving this project so very much and can't wait to finish it up.
I am uploading a process video right now to youtube that walks you through how I put these pages together. Take a look if your interest. Here is a link to my channel

I saved her program and punched holes in it so I could add it in the album. Once it was in there I added a few embellishments and the number 16 on the front.
Here is what the other side looks like.

December Daily Day 14
Hello everyone and welcome to another December Daily blog post.
Today I am going to be sharing Day 14. This particular day was spent in Disneyland !!
I have never been at Christmas time and was looking forward to this day.
Let's get to it then. I ended up creating a few extra pages to accommodate the extra photos that I had. Most of the photos I have are of the decorations around Disneyland. The kids were boycotting photos of them so I didn't want to push it and end up having a bad day. I was just as happy to click some photos of the trees and other decor that was around. I also wanted to be IN the moment more and not worry about documenting every moment of the day.
All throughout the park they had these gorgeous Christmas trees all decorated. I included this 3x8 photo of one of the trees. I could have left the photo plain but instead I added the number 14 and a few embellishments.
On the left side of this first page I included a few photos and this filler card.
I traced this chipboard Mickey Ears piece that I have onto some card stock and cut it out. I wasn't happy with all the white on the card and so I added the Mickey ears onto this card from the Everyday Collection from BH.
Here is what the other side looks like.
I had lots of photos from our Disney Adventure so I added some onto the back of the 3x8 photo. I added this embellishment cluster along with some gold corner stickers.
This next page has a photo of Maddie looking at the map of the Redwood Forest. They had set up some Christmas Elf activities for the kids to do, it was so fun ! Santa was even there but the line was so long that we did not want to wait to see him. I included a simple journaling card with the word Disney on the top and the black and white Mickey ears.
The Castle you guys, was oh so very pretty ! They had it all decorated for winter with snow and sparkles, and wreaths, and icicles, and and. Oh you get the idea.
Here is a look at the last spread for day 14. This one is kind of a jumble of things. Not sure what it is but it will work.
I added in that red sprit of the season card from Ali's main kit and I love it. The other side has a photo of Cars Land and the Christmas parade.
This bottom pocket is a journaling card. I used the Joy Is card from the main kit and added some embellishments to the bottom.
The last page is a large 6x8 photo of the castle at night. It was stunning !! I added the white chipboard 14 on the bottom along with some washi tape and some embellishments.
That is it for Day 14. Thank you all so much for coming. Be sure to check out my Youtube channel for a process video of it all. Here is the link.
